Don’t Brag About Your Wisdom

Jeremiah 9:23-24
The LORD says: Don’t brag about your wisdom or strength or wealth. If you feel you must brag, then have enough sense to brag about worshiping me, the LORD. What I like best is showing kindness, justice, and mercy to everyone on earth. (CEV)

Matthew 6:3-4
When you give to the poor, don’t let anyone know about it. Then your gift will be given in secret. Your Father knows what is done in secret, and he will reward you. (CEV)
To Law School I Go!

As a 30 something mom, I’ve decided to finally follow my heart and go to law school! I’m seriously considering Oak Brook School of Law & Public Policy. I know, I know! It’s not ABA accredited…but, since I’m a vested employee of the U.S. Government, I can work as an attorney for just about any federal agency in any state as long as I’m a “member of the Bar in at least one state.” DOJ is my goal/passion; however, I’m not adverse to SSA.
Oak Brook is affordable, their curriculum follows the same design as ABA law schools, and their Christian beliefs are appealing to me. What did not appeal to me was that new students can only start in August…I anticipated a school that had at least two different start dates, such as Abraham Lincoln University School of Law (quarterly).
After reviewing the results of three years of Baby Bar and Bar Exam scores (yes, I made a comparison chart!), Concord School of Law and Oak Brook appears to have the highest percentage of passing amongst all of those registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners, California Bar. Abe Lincoln comes in third by my calculations.
I was even able to locate Oak Brook graduates Nathanial, Trent & Christopher, who appear to be doing well in their chosen paths.
