NOTARY SERVICES – I CERTIFY
As a commissioned Civil Law Notary since 1996, I am dedicated to providing efficient and reliable services. To maintain the highest level of professional standard, my services are strictly limited to the offerings outlined below.
Thank you for respecting the value of my time, skills, and decades of experience. Outside of my established community service commitments, all professional services require standard compensation.
Area of coverage: Grant and Rapides Parishes
Terms of Service
- Fees are non-negotiable and non-refundable. Cash, Certified Check or Venmo only.
- Payment is due in full at the time service is rendered.
- For document preparation, a 50% deposit is required before work begins. Any error on my part is corrected at no cost; errors on your part that require correction and reprint will incur an additional fee.
- Appointments take place at a mutually convenient location – mobile services only.
- I do not maintain/store copies of executed documents. It’s your responsibility to safeguard your originals.
- I’m not an attorney and cannot/will not provide legal advice.
Requirements of All Parties
- All parties, including witnesses, must be at least 18 years old, alert, cognizant, and present at the time of signing.
- A valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID is required of all parties, including witnesses.
Real Estate & Loan Closings
Acts of Cash Sale (Real Estate): $100-$125
- Option 1 (Full Service) – $125. Includes document preparation, printing and execution. (Requires 50% non-refundable deposit before work begins).
- Option 2 (Execution Only) – $100. For pre-prepared documents.
- Note: Requires two witnesses to be present at signing. You’re responsible for filing in conveyance records with respective Clerk of Court.
Business or Personal Loans (Execution Only): $125
- Execution only; no document preparation. Documents must be printed in advance. Requires two witnesses.
- You are responsible for returning the packet to the lender per their instructions. Fee is due at the time of execution.
Mortgage Refinance: $150-$175
- Option 1 (Full Service for Lenders) – $175. Refis are typically arranged and paid for by the lender directly. This includes printing, executing, and my returning per their instructions.
- Option 2 (Execution Only) – $150. Execution only; no document preparation. Documents must be printed in advance. Requires two witnesses. You are responsible for returning the packet to the lender per their instructions. Fee is due at the time of execution.
Divorces & Name Changes
Divorces (No Fault, with or without children)
- Must have lived separate and apart for six (6) months.
- Includes preparation of all forms, notarization of Petitioner affidavits, and step-by-step instructions for you to file with either Grant (Colfax) or Rapides (Alexandria) Clerk of Court.
Note: All civil suit court costs are assessed and collected by the respective Clerk of Court. Pro Bono Commitment – Paying it Forward
Since 2007, I’ve offered no-cost notarization services to veteran patients (loans and refis excluded). These services are provided at the request of the assigned social worker and are performed exclusively on-site at the medical facility. Outside of this specific program, standard payment for services is required.

Court FIling & Fees: you are responsible for any necessary filing with the court. Court costs regarding civil suits are assessed and collected by the respective Clerk of Court. Please call their office with any questions. Pauper’s form for possible delayed or Reduced filing fees for certain suits can be found here for your convenience. Eligibility is determined by the Clerk’s office.
- Name Change – legally change first and/or Last Name (adult or child) – $125. Includes document preparation, copies, and written step-by-step instructions. No witnesses required. 50% prepayment is required. Option 2 – meeting conducted virtually and prepared documents provided via email for you to print – $75. 50% prepayment is required.
- Divorce – $150. No fault, with or without children, lived separate and apart 6 months are longer.
